I started tattooing in 2007, previous to this I was a ventilation engineer for 20 years. I studied art at school and failed miserably gaining a 'U' grade, the lowest you can be given. I was told my drawings were 'too realistic' which apparently isn't what art was about so I left and went to work with my friend who had his own firm. When the recession hit I looked for work elsewhere and was offered a job as a tattoo apprentice by Jim Gambell. I learned to tattoo at his studio, Ritual Art in Kent and was there for 7 years. Upon leaving I moved to Scotland's capital city, Edinburgh. I opened my studio 'Semper' in 2015 in the city's historical Grassmarket situated beneath Edinburghs famous castle. I am a realism artist specializing in portraits. Sometimes it feels like a dream making a living doing what I love and living and working in such a famous and beautiful location. I am truly blessed.

DAVID’S FAVORITE FUSION COLORS

Evan Olin's Rosey Cheeks
from $16.00

A more intense reddish pink blush tone.

Mauve
from $8.00

A solid neutral grayish-brown. A good muted tone that can be used to dull down many colors.

Ben Kaye's Honey Gold
from $16.00
Faded Denim
from $8.00

A rich solid medium blue-grey tone with a slight purple hint. Works great with both color families.

Rick Walter's Phthalo Green
from $16.00

A rich deeper minty green tone.

Jeff Gogue's Lotus
from $16.00

Bright neutral muted pink tone.

Ben Kaye's Banoffee
from $16.00
Deano Cook's Sailfish
from $16.00

Bright purple-blue tone.

Deano Cook's Tiger Shark
from $16.00

Deeper grayish aqua-blue tone to compliment “Shark Skin”.

Deano Cook's Mako Shark
from $16.00

Inspired by the top half colors of an actual Mako Shark’s skin. A very slate grey version of a blue and purple blend with a low chroma effect. A very nature tone versus traditional brighter versions of this color group.
